OSHA form 300A due...really

Feb 26, 2019 11:00:00 AM — by Enterprise Health

March 2, 2019, is the deadline for electronically reporting OSHA Form 300A data for calendar year 2018.

While the wheel of OSHA's final recordkeeping rule will likely continue to spin, there is an actual deadline to meet for establishments with 250 or more employees. Covered establishments are required to only electronically submit information from the OSHA Form 300A (Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses).

OSHA amended its recordkeeping regulation to remove the requirement to electronically submit information from the OSHA Form 300 (Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses) and OSHA Form 301 (Injury and Illness Incident Report) for establishments with 250 or more employees that are required to routinely keep injury and illness records.

Remember, not all establishments are covered by this requirement. See the specifics here.

ENTERPRISE HEALTH IS ON TOP OF IT

No matter what the OSHA gods bring forth in the future, the Enterprise Health solution is already configured to capture the information mandated as part of an employee health clinic encounter. When an individual presents with a worksite injury or illness, our software collects the appropriate data elements — including whether the injury or illness is reportable. As a case is managed within the Enterprise Health solution, the information needed to complete forms and logs is amassed.

Data captured electronically is automatically rendered on OSHA documents (and can be printed on demand, if necessary.) Labor intensive efforts associated with assembling information and filling out forms by hand are all but eliminated.

All this makes reporting a snap as the data is already managed electronically. Easy, even if keeping up with OSHA requirements is not.
